I have always considered that the time we give to ourselves is as valuable and necessary as the time we share with others.
For me, that time we invest in each other is an act of love, that is why many times I have said:
''The first and true love should be the one we have for ourselves.''
The importance of having self-love or self-love is something that we hear more and more, but few of us know how it is built or how we can identify if we need it.
Today I want to help you, from my experience, answer all these questions:
I'm going to tell you what are some signs that can become our ''Red Flags''đźš© that alert us to what actions may be demonstrating a lack of self-love:
🚩We avoid social events:
We avoid being close to people because we do not want to be part of discussions about our work, relationships, our physique, how we dress, because in some of these areas we feel inferior to others.
🚩It is difficult for us to say no and set limits
We seek to please all people, leaving aside personal plans to fulfill the wishes of others. We end up giving in on things that we previously considered non-negotiable.
🚩We believe that our opinion is not so important
We think that we have a different point of view of the situation, but possibly it is not good or we do not feel that it has value to share it with others and we prefer to remain silent.
🚩We end up magnifying our problems and focusing on the bad
How was your day? Generally we tend to respond about the bad, what is NOT happening the way we want, everything negative. Furthermore, there is a tendency to think of problems as something that will get worse in the future.
     Here I share some steps that we must take into account to continue strengthening our self-love
Remember that this is a process that must be done daily. The more conscious we are of our actions, the more love we will be giving ourselves🥰
   ❤️Identify the situations that put your self-esteem at risk: Being aware of the situations that affect us emotionally helps us learn to face them in a different way.
❤️Break destructive thoughts and self-criticism: Building a better version of ourselves is recognizing that TODAY we are not a complete product, it is recognizing that we are constantly changing and rebuilding . Be kind to yourself and your process.
❤️ Recognize your achievements and efforts: Every step takes us to the goal. Think about where you are today and everything you have done to be where you are right now. Valuing our process motivates us to get closer to the goal.
❤️Set boundaries with others: Don't hesitate to express what you want and feel to others. Setting limits is making known our position and the extent to which we allow other people to intervene in our life.
    ❤️Give yourself spaces to do what you like most: Everything you can do that relaxes you and produces happiness is an act that will lead you to connect more with your being and your motivations. Reserve this moment in your calendar as the most important appointment.
