Do you have melasma or patches on your skin?
Melasma are spots on the skin that are hyper-pigmented. It is common for them to be more pronounced on the cheeks, forehead or around the mouth and can affect both men and women.
This is a skin condition that can be controlled but is not completely eliminated since its origin is due to hormonal and genetic conditions, but above all due to exposure to sunlight or visible light.
Don't worry! If you have or know someone who suffers from Melasma, you have to know this information.👇
Therefore, today I share with you three things that worsen Melasma and my tips to help combat skin depigmentation.
THREE THINGS THAT MAKE MELASMA WORSE
Taking birth control pills and certain medications: Medications such as Ibuprofen and birth control pills increase photosensitivity (sensitivity to light) in the skin, which is why they are not recommended to be taken if you have Melasma.
Exposure to high temperatures when cooking: It is important to avoid excessive heat because exposure to high temperatures can intensify Melasma on the skin.
Tanning or sunbathing without sun protection: It is essential that if you have this skin condition you do not forget your sunscreen, it is even recommended that you use a tinted sunscreen as it also prevents effects of visible light or blue light (light transmitted by computers and cell phones).
HOW IS THE APPEARANCE OF MELASMA ON THE SKIN IMPROVED?
Use products with antioxidant and depogmenting power: I recommend products that contain ingredients such as Kojic Acid that improves the appearance of spots and helps control their reappearance. You can find this incredible ingredient in two products for daily use that I recommend: The Anti-Aging Brightening Serum and The Brightening Effect Cleanser
Don't forget to use sunscreen: Use sunscreen both in summer and winter. Remember that this skin condition becomes more visible when you do not have protection from solar radiation.
Be patient and be consistent with your routine: The success of any skin care process is consistency, don't be discouraged, every day you take care of your skin in the best way counts and thus the results will be visible
